Transition to Work

TTW is a collaborative effort initiated between, North Shore Community Action Program, Citizens for Adequate Housing, Help for Abused Women and Children (HAWC), Taking Care of Business (TCB), Turning Point and Wellspring House, shelters serving homeless families in transition. TTW’s mission is to provide job related services to families referred to us from the shelters within the collaborative. The TTW Career Specialists endeavor to remove barriers to work, by linking participants up with education, training and employment opportunities in and around the North Shore area. Some of the services the Career Specialists provide include, but are not limited to, Career Counseling, GED tutoring funds, Job Preparedness and Life Skills Workshops, Job Training and Placement, and a Matching Fund program for Individual Development Savings Accounts.
